Case study:

Jess's Custom Gown

Jess wasn't too sure exactly how she wanted her gown to look! We began with a sketch of a ballgown skirt but when we fitted the muslin Jess felt that it overwhelmed her proportions so we changed the skirt silhouette to a very sleek fit and flare shape with a long train. Jess chose a rich antique ivory stretch crepe with showed the off white embroidery beautifully,

The bodice has a boned stretch crepe structure with an illusion tulle yoke, keyhole buttons at the back and a blend of two embroidered appliqués and French lace from Sophie Hallette, France, a company ubiquitous with both the British Royal Family and Hollywood Royalty!

Jess's skirt is gently fitted and proportionately flared to her frame and stature, lace appliqué ombrés down from her hipline. The train is beautifully decorated with the ornate appliqué, the waistline is highlighted with a silk ribbon and the centre back is finished with silk covered buttons.
